Do not clean external piercings with soap more then two times a day.
When you are not cleaning your piercing leave it alone.
Cold Compress: Brow, oral, and oral- facial piercings usually require a
covered cold compress for 15 minutes or less every
few hours for the first few days.
These piercings may be slightly more uncomfortable then others for the
first 3-5 days due to swelling. You may choose to alternate
between a warm sea salt and cold compress.
All Around Warm Sea Salt Compress: Sea salt is a trusted all around
healing remedy which is completely different then regular table salt.
Sea salt is close to our own body mineral structure.
Use 1/4 tsp. Sea Salt dissolved in 1 cup of warm water. Apply with a cotton cloth to keep heat in or invert a small shot glass over the piercing.
Apply for 5 minutes or more up to 3 times a day.
CLEANSING the NEW ORAL PIERCING:
After eating or smoking you must rise with an oral cleanser.
To experience speedy healing with minimal or no swelling, use
exclusively free of harsh burning alcohols and sacharines,
“TOMS OF MAINE MOUTHWASH.”
Other mouth washes can be harmful to new tissue growth in new oral piercings. Cut down or stop smoking. Eat non spicy foods.
Protect your piercing from all foreign body fluids.
Never pick, pull or play with a new piercing as it will interrupt the
healing process.Do not change out the original jewelry
before the piercing is initially healed.
Wait until all signs of swelling have completely diminished
before selecting a new style or size of jewelry.
