JEWELRY THAT HAS BECOME TIGHT:
With new piercing on rare occasions, unexpected swelling can result in the jewelry becoming too tight. If this situation is not cared for properly or is left unattended your jewelry can visibly disappear right under your skin.
This disappearance can be noticeable over time with some discomfort, or
totally unnoticeable with no signs of any discomfort.
If you suspect your jewelry is disappearing please call for assistance.
JEWELRY THAT APPEARS TO BE
GROWING OUT OF THE PIERCING:
If jewelry is being played with, pulled on, is too tight, too big,
or was pierced too shallow under the skin.
There is a great chance of possible jewelry migration all the way out of the
body can occur. The migration can happen slowly over time or even
in a few short weeks. Call if you suspect migration.
SWIMMING WITH NEW PIERCINGS:
It is dangerous and therefore not suggested to go swimming with a piercing
that is not yet fully healed.If you must go swimming with your new piercing during the healing period, you must attempt to totally protect it. You
can use a product called a “Tegaderm Patch by 3M.” It is a water
proof patch. There are no guarantee’s that this product will keep your
piercing 100% dry. Most clients that have used the
patch report that it kept their piercing dry.
ESTIMATED INITIAL HEALING TIMES:
Navel 3-9 months, Misc. Facial 3-9 months, Nose 6-9 Months,
Cartilage 6-9 months, Ear 6-8 weeks, Oral 4-6 weeks The complete
healing of a piercing can take up to one year or even more.
