What can or happens when your nose jewelry is lost?
Most likely your piercing site will shrink.
Re-insertion of the same piece of jewelry may become
very difficult. Even if it just came out 5 minutes ago.
It may seem closed and further if there was a previous problematic condition
or an incident of trauma and then the jewelry
was left out for a long time or even out for just a short while can
make a reinsertion even more difficult. While an
immediate quick, smooth reinsertion can occur.
Here are some suggestions on a delayed re-insertion of jewelry.
So the question is what to do with what?
Loss with delay and no trauma:
First determine what kind of jewelry you have.
Certain jewelry cannot just be re-inserted because of it’s
bend or with somewhat unfavorable ball type obstructions on the end.
With your fingers only, straighten the bend on your hook style
jewelry so it looks like an L. Proceed with insertion.
Gently turn the inside of the Nose outward so you can see the
inner piercing site is visible. It should go smoothly. Gently massage
the area to prevent a trauma bump, follow with a Sea Salt soak.
If re-insertion isn’t successful then proceed to the next
suggestions. Loss with delay and previous condition or trauma.
Under certain conditions you may experience somewhat of
a painful re-insertion with the standard hook style jewelry.
